Basketball
The Boys & Girls Club’s basketball leagues encourage youth to develop their basketball skills as well as their social skills. Teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership are among the skills emphasized in our program. Volunteer adults coach each team instilling the Club’s goals of learning while having fun.
High School Fall Girls Basketball League
The High School Girls Basketball league is for girls to get a jump start on the season.. Games are held during the weeknights. This allows the kids to work on their skills before their season starts. Games start the first week of October and run through the middle of November.
Cuno Boys Basketball League
An organized and coached league for boys ages 10-13 as of January 1. Practices start the first week of November and games start the first week of December. Registration is held in September and early October. Games begin the week after Thanksgiving.
Boys & Girls Club Jack Clancy Basketball League
Similar to the CUNO and Record Journal Leagues, but this program is held at Hanover Elementary School. This league is strictly for those who attend Hanover and are in grades 3-5.
Fred Biestek Boys Instructional Basketball League
Instructional team sessions begin in early December and will run for 8 weeks. Teams will meet once a week on Saturdays with the first few sessions devoted to learning basic skills. As the season progresses more time is spent playing games. This league is for boys ages 8-9 as of January 1.
Record Journal Girls Basketball League
The Record-Journal league is an organized and coached league for girls ages 8-13 as of January 1. Practices will start the first week of January, and games will begin the last week of January.
Starters Basketball
Starters is a program for 6 & 7 year olds that will begin in February and run once a week, through March, on Saturdays.
