Weekly classes will be held Wednesday evenings 6:00 - 8:00PM beginning October 25, 2011 and running for 7 weeks. Successful course completion is required to participate in the Boys & Girls Club's Rifle League. The fee is $20 per student. This includes all materials needed for the course except ear and eye protection. Course graduates will receive a certificate and be eligible to join the Club’s Rifle League which will begin in early January.

NRA Rankings
During the year, range time permitting, students will be allowed to work towards achieving or improving their Official NRA Ranking. The NRA ranking system is a 14 step system that helps build skills, awareness and self esteem in a friendly, safe environment. Rankings help hone concentration and marksmanship skills. Check the wall near the range for further information.
Rifle League
The Club’s Rifle League is for members ages 11 & up who have completed either the Club’s Rifle Safety course or obtained the Boy Scout Rifle Merit Badge. Depending upon the number of registrants either teams of 3 or 4 shooters will be formed or shooters will compete against each other on an individual basis. Participants will have a match once a week or need to post a score each week depending upon the format used. League shooting will be held Wednesday evenings. Members must sign up for the league the week of November 14, 2011.
Contact Dominic Pereyo, dominicpereyo@bgcmeriden.org, at 203-235-8185 for information on any of the shooting programs.
