Inspiring a Generation!
Every day Boys & Girls Clubs inspire their members. Whether encouraging young people to complete their homework, play sports or recreational activities, enter an art competition or have a healthy snack, Club staff know the important role they play in creating the wholesome environment kids need.
The United States is facing a national crisis with soaring high school drop-out rates, coupled with low fitness and high obesity within our young people. Boys & Girls Clubs are providing solutions to this national epidemic through homework help, engaging and fun nutritional tips, energizing sports and recreational activities and challenging academic programs. Throughout the nation, Clubs are reaching out to a generation at risk by providing positive guidance and exciting opportunities.

BGCA's efficient use of financial resources has won national recognition. In its latest "Philanthropy 400" report, The Chronicle of Philanthropy ranked BGCA as No. 15 among all non-profit organizations, while placing BGCA in the No. 1 position among youth organizations for the fourteenth consecutive year. The survey, measuring private support, reported gifts to the national organization and local Boys & Girls Clubs totaling $664 million in 2006.
Forbes, SmartMoney, Newsweek and U.S. News & World Report have all ranked BGCA among the top charitable organizations in America based on cost-effective use of donor dollars. WORTH magazine has ranked BGCA as one of America's top one hundred charities, based on financial efficiency, strength of reputation, and program effectiveness.
Another organization taking notice is Charity Navigator, which placed Boys & Girls Clubs of America on their "10 of the Best Charities Everyone's Heard Of" list. On a scale of 0 to 70, derived by assessing organizational efficiency and capacity, BGCA received an overall score of 60.47 from Charity Navigator.
