Weird Science!

The Connecticut Children's Museum visited the Boys & Girls Club of Meriden on October 21, 2009 and put on various science demonstrations for members of the 21st Century Community Literacy Program.  Members viewed different science activities that included lasers, electricity and chemical reactions.  The words "Cool" and "Awesome" could be heard from the crowd of 50 boys and girls.  This is the first of 10 lessons that the 21st Century Program has planned with the Connecticut Children's Museum this year.  "It's a great way to expose children of such a young age to science terminology and hands on experiments" said Cesar Gonzales Assistant Director.
