General Info

Archery is held Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-5:30 and 6:00-8:00. Quality equipment is provided for youth to use or they can bring their own. (Max. bow weight of 40lbs) Check the Shooting Schedule for start dates and special events.

Beginner Lessons

Youths must take a beginner's lesson if they haven't shot at the Club or at Cuno Camp before. Lessons are held by appointment through out the year. Contact Dominic for a lesson.

Drop-In Shooting

Youths can come down to shoot for practice, to work on their technique, or just for the fun of it. Archers will recieve some instruction. If drop-in sessions become crowded additional times will be added.

Tournaments

Archers with a ranking of blue or higher can shoot against other archers for awards. Tournaments will be held 3 times during the year, Fall, Winter and Spring. Times and dates will be announced. The Fall and Spring tournaments may be held outdoors on the Cuno Camp grounds. Targets and other objects designed to challenge their skills are shot during a 1 hour slot. Awards are given to the top archers in the blue, red and yellow ranking levels. $2 fee per archer.

Archery League

During the Winter months Archers ages 9 + up can join a team and compete against teams of other Boys & Girls Club members. The league runs for approx. 12 weeks. Team matches are held during drop-in shooting on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Awards are given to the championship team, league top shooters and each team's top shooters. Sign-ups begin in October.

Carnival Shoots

Fun and challenging events like popping balloons are held during Mon. and Tues. drop-in shooting. These are usually themed to a holiday and are held periodically throught the year.

Boys & Girls Club Rankings

About once a month through out the year ranking sessions will be held to allow archers to gauge their skill level. The Club’s 13 level ranking system is designed to give archers a goal to strive for. Check the wall by the range for dates and times. Each archer will receive a certificate upon completion of each ranking session.
