What is this program?
The Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center Afterschool Program provides funding to allow us to offer our pre-established Afterschool Enrichment Programming completely free to youth who meet a certain criteria. Currently, this program is available to students from John Barry Elementary School & Benjamin Franklin Elementary School. The Afterschool Enrichment Program takes place at Boys & Girls Club of Meriden at 15 Lincoln Street, Meriden. Transportation is provided from school to the Club every day for accepted students.
What are the qualifications?
Annually, we offer a total of 105 slots, broken out by grade.
John Barry Elementary School60 slots Form in English All applications must be handed in to the main office at John Barry or at the Boys & Girls Club of Meriden. All applicants will be notified upon acceptance. |
Benjamin Franklin Elementary School45 slots Form in English All applications must be handed in to the main office at Benjamin Franklin or at the Boys & Girls Club of Meriden. All applicants will be notified upon acceptance. |
