Basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, archery and softball are Boys and Girls Club mainstays and our structured Gym Time provides games and activities that encourage movement, motion and working together to achieve goals.
Miss K’s Art Class
Kayzia is an art expert who brings her passion and expertise to our members, who learn a little about art history, drawing and painting techniques and “how to” by being “hands on.” Miss K. teaches the children the value of creative expression and the work produced shows how amazing our kids can be with a little guidance!
Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) with Hartford Health Care/Rushford
Members meet once a week in age-appropriate groups to learn valuable techniques from professional mental health counselors ways to manage stress, deal with negative emotions and avoid the pitfalls of substance abuse. The group setting encourages honesty and supports kindness, allowing our members to vent their fears and frustrations, and counselors provide the tools to contend with those factors. This program has really helped our kids at this scary time for them.
Activity Room Time
Purposeful play and social recreation in a structured and well-supervised center where learning, games and arts and crafts are offered and members enjoy dance parties, video game tournaments and a host of other thoughtful and engaging activities.
